What is the best non-camera phone? The iPhone 4S!!

M1 non-camera iPhone

This will no doubt be the best non-camera phone, hands down. Finally, people who works in restricted area that doesn't allow can have a decent smartphone to be proud of. No longer do they need to content with Nokia Brickphone, or awkwardly slow smartphone.

NSF and Regulars in the Singapore Army will also be pleased.

Quoted from Asia Cnet Crave
According to the operator, the camera modules (front and back) are completely removed, not just covered, and "may not be reinstalled". The service has been certified by Singapore's Ministry of Defence (Mindef), which means they will be allowed in army installations in the island-state. This benefits both full-time soldiers and many Singaporean men who are required to fulfill two years of mandatory military service. M1 will issue a certificate with each non-camera iPhone that will identify it as being approved by Mindef.
No doubt they'll sell like hotcakes.

Color, an app for iPhone and Android

This seems to be an interesting app. For first, it occupies a glorious domain, www.color.com
It will surely give alot of social voyeur and exhibitionist a field day with this app.

It is available on the iPhone now, and later on Android. and on Android too.

With 41 million dollars backing, it is surely an ambitious app. It is certainly a very interesting app, but I wonder will people really use it? Good thing the app is free in the first place!

This is a description of the app on iTune appstore.

WARNING: DON'T USE COLOR ALONE.

Use Color to take photos and videos with other people who have iPhones within 150 ft to create a group album.

For parties, play dates, lunch? You get their photos, they get yours. Share any album with Twitter and Facebook.

Color is a social network for your iPhone.

Turn iTouch to iPhone? Possible!

From http://asia.cnet.com/crave/2010/08/11/china-made-peel-case-converts-jailbroken-ipod-touch-to-an-iphone/

Just wondering. Isn't it harder to prevent people from bringing in camera handphone into no camera zones with this device? Tsk tsk...

iPhone 4 new features

New name: Apple is calling its new OS "iOS 4," since it works for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Multitasking: At long last, we'll be able to run multiple apps--including third-party apps--at the same time.

Football Manager on iPhone

Called "Football Manager Handheld 2010", this is one more reason why people will buy the iPhone/iTouch/iPad. This is also why competitors are struggling to come out with anything to compete with the iPhone/iTouch/iPad. Look at how quite it is at the mp3 market, with little news from music player makers like Samsung, Creative or iRiver.

Football Manager, Sega's famous sports strategy sim that's renowned across Europe for being so addictive it destroys marriages, is now available on the iPhone.
Meaning that budding chairmen can now set strategies, trade players and pull their hair out while on the road, and not just in front of their PC. That'll make the missus happy.
Football Manager Handheld 2010, as this version is called, retains most of the features and depth of its desktop big brother, with over 20,000 real players and 34 leagues to choose from.
It's not the sexiest game on the iPhone, but as far as sports sims go it certainly looks to be the most comprehensive on the platform. That depth comes at a price, however, the game tagged at $10 in the US, £7 in the UK, €10 in Europe and $15 in Australia.

I like the title of this article, "The iPhone Game That Will Wreck Marriages".

Just imagine, FM2010 on the go, on the train, everywhere. Scary.

iPhone a gaming platform?

Quoted from an article in Kotaku
As an avid RPG fan myself, Zenonia was the game that cemented the iPhone as a gaming platform in my eyes. Hopefully the second dose will be just as impressive.
This is the game the author is talking about.

Not to mention a couple of old games from Square Enix are also available on the iPhone now!

All this are very tempting indeed. Maybe its time to forget about having a PSP and consider buying an iTouch?

Starhub gets iPhone, 3 way battles begin

http://www.weeklyreader.com/readandwriting/content/binary/iphone.jpg
It might be a little bit late for Starhub, but people using Starhub should be relive now. The iPhone for Starhub will be launch at end of 2009, which is around the same time where M1 will also be releasing the iPhone. I don't really think the price of iPhone will drop significantly though. However, I guess it will be very cool to enjoy Starhub Mobile Tv on the glorious 3.5" screen of iPhone. Unfortunately, with Starhub losing the rights of EPL broadcast next season, perhaps soccer fans should head down to Singtel who owns the rights of EPL and Champions League.

Hopefully Singtel will release some Mobile TV thingy soon!

iPhone coming to M1 end of year

http://news.softpedia.com/images/news2/Nokia-Expands-HSPA-Network-in-Singapore-2.jpg

By the end of this year, SingTel won't be the only telco operator to sell the iPhone in Singapore, ending its exclusive deal with Apple after the launch of the iPhone 3G on August 21 in 2008.

In an M1 press statement released today, the company said it has "reached an agreement to bring the iPhone to customers in Singapore later this year", without disclosing further details.

The service provider will also offer "a range of tailored service plans" along with the launch of the touchscreen smartphone.

This news just pops out of nowhere huh. It is rather surprising for M1 to roll out the iPhone, and not Starhub. Will this be a turning point for M1? This will be very interesting to see.
