By the end of this year, SingTel won't be the only telco operator to sell the iPhone in Singapore, ending its exclusive deal with Apple after the launch of the iPhone 3G on August 21 in 2008.This news just pops out of nowhere huh. It is rather surprising for M1 to roll out the iPhone, and not Starhub. Will this be a turning point for M1? This will be very interesting to see.
In an M1 press statement released today, the company said it has "reached an agreement to bring the iPhone to customers in Singapore later this year", without disclosing further details.
The service provider will also offer "a range of tailored service plans" along with the launch of the touchscreen smartphone.
